i think it might just be my favorite one so far :)
...not your typical pale green or yellow with 'non gender-specific' icons...

i love bridget's ecclectic style.

the kitty goes perfectly with my little canopy embroideries!
pretty parasol mushrooms sprouting in the corner.
and last, but not least...these lovely little dolls.
the sleepy princess was inspired by the princess and the pea (gorgeous book) and she has a big ol' bun in the back that's hard to see in the picture.
china doll is sporting her lucky red velveteen mary janes and has on a colorful pair of hand embroidered pants and black and white striped tights.
she sits beautifully with this collection
anyways, there are many more where these came from, but i think i'll post them one at a time.

these embroideries took FOREVER, but it was worth it.
i recently added them to my portfolio along with the other bedding collections i worked on. i think they are just starting to appear in stores and will be sure to share the list of boutiques with you as soon as i get 'em.

the time has finally come for me to share a new project with you.
i have been working with bridget kelly, the former director of pottery barn kids, on her new brand whistle and wink since early this year.
this is the lovely lady who hired me over 4 years ago at pottery barn kids as a freelance textile artist. in spring of 2006, she parted ways with PBK to take a new path and create her own collection of beautiful boutique style bedding...with all the attention to detail she is known for from her years at PBK. she is amazing at what she does and has helped inspire many many beautiful collections of artwork. i am so super duper flattered that she selected me as one of her artists and has chosen to show my plush alongside her debut collection.
anyways, here is some of the embroidery and applique artwork i did for the pink pagoda bedding. you can see my funny little kitty perched on the chair.

i need to figure out production of my own pretty little things before then!
