pretty little things

nesting ... on a whole new level

i've been totally distracted with baby stuff and house stuff these past couple weeks

and it's only gonna get worse! we are redoing the kitchen and demo starts on monday.

i plan to spend my weekend packing up the cabinets and building

a temporary kitchen in the bathroom upstairs.

over the next few weeks i will be sourcing tile and cabinets and paint and lighting and counters

a good friend of ours is our general contractor and he is hookin us up before christmas

because i start my thrid trimester soon there after and i don't want to have

workmen crawling all over the house at that point.

what does this mean for the shop?

well, i definitely won't be able to conduct business as usual, but i do plan on keeping it open

i will probably ship once per week and remove any items 

that are made to order until after the dust settles.

on top of all that...i need to spend some more time finalzing the nursery space in the master

while still alotting a reasonable amount of time for naps :)

SO if i seem a little distant over the next month or so...you'll know why.

SO completely in love with the artwork of Janet Hill

i wish i could jump right in to live in any one of these rooms

sleeping space

i'm always torn between colorful/eccletic vs clean/simple for the bedroom.

i used to pile colors and pattern on print and texture with no rhyme or reason and i loved it.

now i find that i need a more peaceful space to get good rest and decompress and

with the bathroom almost complete i am inspired to finally get more order in the bedroom.

i found these amazing spaces on Lonny and am starting to get some ideas

of how to pull together a simple relaxing space.

i already have gray walls and solid color bedding i just need to figure out

how to incorportae some different textures and find some artwork that i love

that seems to be the hardest part. i am always on the lookout

but haven't come across the right piece yet. any suggestions?
