if you can believe, the kitchen is still a work in progress, but we're getting there!

i planted these beauties last night and snuggled them all together to create a tiny garden

i am so in love with the color palette. we have decided to keep everything nice and pale

in both the dining room and the kitchen...from the walls to the cabinets to the window treatments

and i'm really hoping to have everything in place before baby gets here.

i can't wait to share some pics

demolition

i debated on whether or not i even wanted to pollute my blog with our demo'd kitchen,

but i thought it might give you some idea of the state of things around here.

we're only 2 1/2 days in and i'm already sick of it!!

as you can see we probably have the world's smallest kitchen, but you would be amazed

at how much stuff we had packed in there...which is now stacked all around the rest of the house.

it's like someone picked up the house shook it around and set it back down.

and it's totally giving me anxiety, but i know it will all be worth it in the end.

trying to stay positive even though all the hammering has seriously been eating into my pregnancy naps.

in other news. i started a little striped blanket for baby. i'll try to snap a shot and post it this week.

anyways, hope you are all enjoying the holiday madness and having fun decorating your spaces.

bathroom in progress

we are having the master bath redone and it has been QUITE the ordeal!!

...they started tiling the shower today...

and i'm wondering if it's gonna feel too busy. 

i hope the grout will calm it down some

we also had all of our dark wood trim painted out and it makes the biggest difference

i'm pretty sure i'm gonna want to move in when it's all done.

it will definitely be the nicest room in the house!

i didn't bother to paint it yet, but

i'm super happy to have the clothes hung up

my plan is to make it into a pretty little dressing room

rather than a dumping ground for stuff i don't know what to do with
