i have put together another batch of colorful ideas
...especially for you.
but before we begin, i thought i might mention...i really enjoy sharing my ideas here and showing you how i make things, but these projects are intended only for your own personal use...please do not use my tutorials to make things for commercial use or resale.
now...on with the show!
like i said, the sleighbells are super easy to make and have a ton of uses.
i start by cutting out the egg cups from a recycled egg carton.
give them a coat or 2 of acrylic paint...inside and out.
(you can skip painting if you don't mind seeing carton through the glitter)
slather on some glue and sprinkle with glitter....inside and out.
after they dry poke a hole in the bottom.
snip about 2" of floral wire and bend into a tear drop shape.
poke the ends through the hole in and bend to each side to secure
while maintaining the loop shape on top
now you have a little glittery bell and you should make A BUNCH more!!
here are some ideas of how to use them
string them on a strip of ribbon to make a garland.
look here to see zuzugirl's garland she made with the kiddos for turkey day.
cluster a few of them at the end of a ribbon to make an ornament.
string them onto a gift bow to add some shimmer to a special package
or use atop a colorful bundle of yule logs.
you could add some more glue and glitter to conceal the wires inside
the leaves are cut from the lid of an egg carton. i poked a hole at the bottom of the leaf so i could thread a wire through and twist it to the ribbon.
i think they would also make beautiful baubles on a fancy holiday wreath.
the possibilites are practically endless....i think i'll make the garland tonight.

Super Cute!!!! I want to make some! Can you use styrofoam egg cartons for this project?

You're so talented! You must dream up cute crafts while you sleep! I hope I find some free time to make this to decorate a bit around the house and maybe for a friend or two also! Thanks for sharing! Suzie
