to help make up for my haphazard blog posting lately....
i have put together a good dose of eye candy for your weekend enjoyment.
i came across some old portfolio boards and i love this bedroom image.
i tore it from a magazine years ago and i can't remember which one
i used it as inspiration to design a line of embroidered summer apparel.
here is the embroidered vine i did as a sample.
i did the whole thing using the split stitch and i remember it took forever!
these garments never went into production...i just came up with the concept of the collection to include in my portfolio.
i also came across this lovely image of appliqued vignettes...
again, i have no idea where it came from
but i think it is chock full of inspiration!
i couldn't resist redecorating the little girls room with some new hues
the first one had way too much orange for me.
this palette is much more my style
don't you just love all the little details!?
here is my real live version of a super saturated wonderland:)
happy weekend.

Ah, your embroidery is exquisite! I prefer the pink colour-scheme, too. And of course, the pic of Matilda on her fancy couch is divine! xoxo

Hey Lori! I just had a quick question for you--where do you buy the tags for your owls? I am considering buying some for my business (mimzydesigns.etsy.com) but I wanted to look into a place where I know someone had good luck. If you wouldn't mind dropping me a quick email, that'd be awesome. Thanks!

Love to see all these fun and colorful details. That embroidered vine is lovely. I wish I had more patience for hand needlework. I have a cross stitch project I've been working on for about 10 years-lol.

I love everything about this post~the embroidered vine is beautiful! The illustration is from a book I have called "Mrs. Kennedy goes abroad' by Jacqueline Duheme and is full of wonderful illustrations. That's an image of Jackie with her nephew Anthony:)
