i was going through an old inspiration folder over the weekend and came across some sweet ideas.
this one is from an old martha stewart living magazine.
i haven't tried it yet, but i think these flowers would be adorable pinned on a colorful cardigan.
this pretty spool idea is from mary engelbreit's home companion.
i have a ton of old spools, but they are all plastic...i think you've gotta use the crafty wooden ones, but wouldn't these make an adorable mobile?
and i love this swatch book.
i think with all the spoonflower going around...it's a MUST!
happy monday.

Your book is fab. My problem is that when I tear out ideas i just stash them away forgotton....well I think it's the time factor =) Naptime is getting shorter.

So funny, I have the same picture in my scrap book from the Marth Stewart mag. Did you ever make the flowers? I didn't, I should :)

Hi,
I love your blog and your crafties.
Would you have a moment to tell me exactly where in Mary Engelbreit magazine that your found the spool idea? I have looked and can't find it. I have tons of old wooden spools just waiting for a project to come along.
Thank you...Lynn

Delicacy and colorful combination, any one after receiving such colorful surprise by their loved ones will have a bucket full of happiness for a short but sweet Time in their life.

I had to try this right away. The paper I found seems to be thicker or crisper than what you used - yours seems almost transparent. Also, the edges were hard to roll. I tried using a knitting needle to get it to curl better, but no luck. I ended up having to fold and crease and then relaxing that as I rolled. So mine look more like roses, I guess. But I love making them. Yes, I am serious about my paper-crafting.
