yesterday i decided to paint my tiny house again.
i just couldn't make sense of the white walls.
at first i thought it would help mellow out all the color in there,
but it actually enhanced everything and it felt way to cluttered.
i had a couple cans of gray paint left from painting the living room
so i figured i'd slap some up on one wall to see how it felt.
i LOVED the way it made the colors pop without feeling too overwhelming
i snapped this quick pic on my phone to show you
now i can't wait to put everything back in it's place and clean up.

i have a strip of cork that runs under my fabric shelves so i can tack things up.
you know that contact paper cork board with the sticky back?
i just cut it into strips and used a couple layers so it'll hold the pins secure
i've had it up for a few years now and it's still holding pretty well.
i painted it the same color as the walls to help it disappear.
it's a really great way to keep and display things i'm working on.

i crawled under my sewing table this morning
to snap these shots of my new mobiles and lanterns
so pretty...i almost want to catch a wink under there
i tapped some nails into the edge of the table
for the perfect place to store these beauties.
...
the ceiling in the tiny house is all wood slats
super high and slanted with track lighting
so there's no way to hang them up there
i'm happy the table was just the right height
...
anyways, keep an eye out in the shop.
i hope to have them listed next week.
xoxo

i'm still setting everything up in the tiny house, but it's coming along nicely.
i love my new paint color! it's navajo white which has a pinkish underglow.
...such a nice clean backdrop for all the color out there...
i can't wait to get the sewing table up and running
(it's been living in my dining room for the last year)
...
i've been working on the tiny house revival for over a month now
starting with a major dig out yielding 4 bags of garbage and 6 for donation
sometimes it feels like i'll never be done, but i know i'm getting close.
and i can't wait to take a million pictures to show you!

i've spent most of the weekend
sorting through piles in the my tiny house
everything is in bloom and the roses are just starting to explode.
this is just one small branch of one small bush
and it has over 30 buds waiting to open!
and there are about 8 bushes covering the side of the hill
...tidying up the tiny house isn't quite so bad on a day like this...
in fact, i'd say it's quite peaceful.
and i'm making some serious progress :)

i've been putting the tiny house back together again
sorry the images are so dingy. you know how the lighting is in here.
anyways, i've discovered a couple secret stashes of bags and such
that i've started adding to my shop. i will have more to add this week.
i can't believe there are over 80 items listed.
so FUN! i love it when it's all stocked up ... good for browsing:)

i didn't get to spend nearly enough time in the tiny house this weekend,
which is apparent by the still very orderly stacks of fabric.
but i did manage to finish a tiny stack of the new bow and arrow clutches.
i will be adding them to the shop very soon along with a couple other pretties.
(i shot this pic near the slider where i keep my pretty painted tables.)
the pale pink one is my sewing table that i dragged in off the street corner a few years ago (it used to be brick red with chewing gum stuck underneath.) the crazy criss cross one is an old end table that i grew up with and spent WAY too long painting. i love them and they're both super practical cuz they're small and lightweight and move around really easily...perfect for the tiny house
anyways i have errands today. yuck....so i better get going.

it is a beautiful sunshiney day and the tiny house is bursting with color.
i've been stitchin up new totes from some really lovely woven patterns
like pink and olive plaid and some turquoise herringbone.
i also found another tiny doe tucked away in one of my sewing shelves.
matilda has been sunbathing in my scrap piles all morning
and looking forward to a long walk after lunch....me too!
we hope you are having an equally lovely day.

up before the sun. as usual.
the early morning hours are my fave. i love getting a head start on the day.
plus i don't feel so guilty taking a nap in the afternoon when i'm up before 6 :)
i have a ton of stuff i want to get done today. i really should make a list.
first on the list is adding a couple new pieces to the shop.
more mushrooms and maybe a clutch or two:)
then i think i'll work on some new stuffed critter samples
and maybe try out some holiday crafts i've been dreaming about.
i know, rough day.
hope yours is good. happy friday!
