serenity now

been cleaning and organizing like crazy this week

in preparation for our home appraisal this afternoon.

trying to take advantage of those super low interest rates :)

amazing how much stuff we have stuffed around this house.

we have gathered about 4 giant black trash bags of trash and donations.

feels good to purge, but my back in aching.

looking forward to a better sense of organization and serenity.

...feeling inspired by this clean white airy room...

although i kind of just want to crawl under those covers

i've been playing catch up on production this week

so i haven't had much time for blogging,

but i have a secret stash of rooms that i love

so i thought i'd share some more

at the end of the day when i find myself aimlessly roaming the internet

i notice i am drawn to images of rooms. i love looking at rooms!

i wonder if it something to do with the fact that my mom

was an interior designer when i was growing up.

i remember spending hours in her sample room

flipping through wall paper books and fabric samples.

i love the way a well decorated room pulls your eye around like piece of art

with perfectly placed print pattern and color.

and these stools? swoon!!

pink and yellow is a little too bold for our house

and i'm not sure the mister would approve

of so much pink in the main living space.

although i may try to sneak in a pillow or two on the sofa.

commitment phobe

i really love the look of wallpaper, but i am totally afraid to commit.

maybe i should start with a big panel

like a giant canvas wrapped in a large print fabric

or do the back of some shelves

i could probably just tape it up that way.
