Emily is a month old today and here she is fresh from the bath...she loves her baths
we use this bath tub which is kind of like a baby strainer
i put a towel down before setting her in and then drape another over her tummy
to keep her warm while i wipe her little body down with a soft cloth
there's nothing sweeter than a warm clean baby
delicious!
my sweet Matilda has adjusted so well to the baby. i am so proud of her.

how time flies
Emily's first piece of mail came earlier this week all the way from Paris, France
a dear friend of ours who lives in Scotland special ordered this custom diorama
complete with a tiny matilda inside...to wish our little girl welcome

she has ready made designs and will also make a custom piece if you are looking for a special gift
here is one of my favorites that she has in her shop right now.
i have already placed another order and i have a feelng it won't be my last :)
EMILY VALENTINE DAILEY
when designing Emily's monogram i decided to make the D a bow
that shoots an arrow through her initials to a tiny heart
i thought it was very fitting seeing that her middle name is Valentine
(which is actually a family name)
i love the way it sounds with 'Emily'...it reminds me of a storybook character
i really like the way her monogram turned out
i haven't decided what i will use it for...probably a quilt
i have been wanting to make her a simple patchwork quilt for awhile
but haven't been able to find the time
although we are starting to get into a routine so maybe soon :)
my photographer sent me this sneak peek from our shoot a couple weeks ago.
she is a master at positioning babies...such a perfectionist!
