i actually grew up with the dude in the back seat on the left
the one playing the little noise machine :)

i suppose it makes sense to finish out the day with another song.
my dad and i danced to this one.
i noticed a bunch of people singing along from their seats.
dad was also singing his own (slightly out of tune) rendition
i remember he would play this kind of stuff on
the guitar for us when we were growing up
it was tricky to dance to, but i loved it.
i think he did too.
...we walked out to cat stevens...
i had "if you want to sing out sing out" engraved on an ipod i gave to pat
years ago and he said this song always reminds him of me :)
plus we love love love harold and maude
they blasted it for the recession.
such a sweet note to begin our marriage on.
perhaps i should have started at the beginning:)
this was our procession song and it worked out perfectly.
we had 3 sets of parents and 3 bridesmaids.
their walk time was about 1 minute and then
my dad and i walked for about a minute.
it's an acoustic version of the theme song from
The Princess Bride
so so pretty!
♡
as you might know, pat and i got engaged in maui.
they showed a bio of IZ on the plane ride
i was wracking my brain for the perfect song to share our first dance.
...when i remembered his most lovely rendition of over the rainbow...
we were introduced as Mr and Mrs and entered the reception
under the rainbow of ribbons, enjoyed dinner and a few toasts
and swayed to this gorgeous version of over the rainbow.
i have to say it was slightly awkward being gawked at by 100 of our
closest friends and family while we turned in circles on the dance floor,
but it is a moment we will never forget.
i ♥ this song.
and i will definitely be playin it at my wedding.
recognize these girls?
check them out in this charming animation from Mollie Makes
i have yet to flip through the pages of this lovely magazine
but the buzz has been incredible...i can't wait to see it!
have you seen it yet?
xoxo
"hundreds of thousands of colorful bouncy balls
wildly bouncing down the steep streets of San Francisco"
i wish i could have seen this in person!

i was watching my favorite arts show this morning on DW-TV. it's only on for a half hour, but they feature arts and culture from throughout europe. it's such a fun way to start they day and i always discover something or someone new
anyways, this morning they did a feature on Simon Tofield and 'Simon's Cat'
i had never heard of him so i looked him up and found this youtube channel.
i plan to spend more time here as soon as possible
