i revived one of my all time favorite shirts yesterday just in time for summer!
a silk chiffon tunic in the palest of pinks with gold embroidery and sequins.
i bought it at abercrombie & fitch about 10 years ago.
about 8 yrs ago i decided to hand wash it in cold rather than dry clean it
and was devastated when it shrunk up to the size of an old pair of panty hose.
i tried stretching and ironing it back into shape, but nothing worked
so it has been hanging in my closet just like that ever since.
well, yesterday i got the idea to try a little bit of spray starch with a cool iron
and i tugged it gently into shape as 1 pressed it inside out
within a half hour i had my favorite shirt back!
wonderful how happy this makes me
why didn't i think of it sooner?!
How amazing that you kept it that long at all!
