yesterday i went to pick up my wedding dress from the tailor and couldn't get the side zipped up. i bought the size 4 and need about an inch taken out of the bust and they took about 4 inches out of the dress. i was wrapped as tight as a mummy and so we had to return it. luckily the alterations were made at the store where i bought it so they were happy to oblige. however. i am now without a dress and there are only nine days before the wedding. oh and i don't think i mentioned (here on my blog) that i was stung by a yellow jacket on my ring finger last week...right after we left the jeweler to select wedding bands. my hand swelled to twice it's size and my finger looks like it was attacked by a shark! it has been a complete comedy of errors, but i'm just rolling with it. what else can i do?!
anyways, i came home from a long trying day yesterday to see
this lovely feature on ohdeedoh about my pretty little things
and it totally made my day.
the dress hunt will continue this weekend. i'll let you know how it goes:)
xo

Yikes!! 'Keep calm and carry on' as they say.... sounds like you've got it all under control so I'm sure all will be well.

Oh my gosh! Don't worry though, these things always seem to work out.
I had about a month to put together my wedding and the week of the wedding the dress I had rush ordered had not gotten here. So I had to go look for another one, which I ended up really happy with. It was actually one I had seen in a magazine and longed for. Since it was too big they did the alterations in a matter of days and it was ready the day before!
So other than no bridal pictures :( it was all okay and I'm sure you will still find a great dress!

My heart goes out to you! What a wedding dress disaster! My daughter bought her dress in San Francisco at a place that sells wedding gowns at a discount. I could ask her for the name of the place, all I remember is that it's near a street with lots of high end antique shops!

good luck on your dress hunt, and I hope your finger heals quickly. They say something always has to go wrong at a wedding, maybe this will be it and nothing else :) I am sure everything will work itself out and your wedding day will be beautiful.
