i started working on my wedding invitations this weekend.
i decided to design my own with floral applique and embroidery.
i'm pretty pleased with the way they are coming along.
still debating on whether or not i should stitch the wording as well.
i think printed font might look a little weird with the embroidery,
but i'm afraid to commit to all of the work involved with stitching the text.
hmmm. what to do....i'll keep you posted:)
♡

oh i'm SO excited to see what you do for your wedding. i'm not usually a wedding girl, but i'm def. a lori marie wedding girl :D

Sounds like an awful lot of work if you stitch them all. Why not compromise and only stitch those who are going to those who are very close to you.

i'm actually only stitching one copy and then having the actual invites printed from the artwork. i would never even dream of stitching each and every one. lol ♡

Congrats on your recent engagement. I think that your invitations will look lovely. I've always adored the look of a stitched motif on paper. It's such a visually interesting combination, with all that texture.
I was thinking if you didn't want to stitch the words, you could always go with a font that looked like stitching. There are so many nice ones these days.

oh, I WAS wondering how in the world you were going to handstitch each invitation as well! but since it's going to be printed, I'd stitch that mock as well...PLEASE start on the gown...I can't wait.

Why not get a company to embroider the wording for you? There are lots of companies who embroider for school uniform labels, I used one for my labels for the stuff I make.

i really want to do it myself and it HAS to be done by hand or it just won't feel right....i finally finished up the floral wreath border so i should be able to get started on the wording later tonight:) yay.
