new rooms

the new year has motivated me to bring new ideas to life. i have been on the hunt for room ideas and i found a ton of fabulous spaces online.   

 

i have started a new collection of valentine inspired designs and applied a new coat of paint to about half the rooms in my house. of course i haven't managed to style a single room to my liking, but i feel like i have a pretty good start.

my most recent attack was on the dining room which used to be a pale buttercream flat paint that wasn't doing the space any favors. i repainted it the color of a latte over the weekend and it's feeling totally blah.

 

as you know i am a fan of big bold colors, but my boyfriend is a little fearful. i thought i would try a neutral color to ease him in and spruce up the room with brightly hued artwork and accessories.

 

anyways, i spent a couple hours online last night looking for ways to style 

my boring beige room and i am overwhelmed with all the ideas.

 

i think i'll add pizzaz with chartreuse, tiffany blue and a raspberry plum. 

oddly enough i found  fair number or spaces that use a similar palette.

i have collected images with an eclectic feel and am looking forward 

to mixing and matching in order to create a space we can both love.

 

i am also still working on the bedroom

 

i think i need to begin collecting prints and mirrors to cluster on the walls.

maybe i'll have something to show you by spring...fingers crossed:)

Ooh, these are great rooms! I really like that purpley-blue color on that one wall with the plates... So pretty!
