...will be invading my shop sometime next week.

i had to put the pumpkin carving on hold to make a couple of these cutie pies.

i have had the idea for awhile but i never took the time to make up a sample. this guy took 3 tries to get it just right which took the better part of yesterday, but it was worth it :)

the galactic pumpkin

i started carving pumpkins last night

 

and ended up with this cosmic beauty. 

i looked and looked for inspiration and felt intimidated by all the details.

so i considered doing something like this or this

 but i still couldn't really decide so i just started hacking away.

we had a pumpkin carving kit from a couple years ago with knives that are super tiny with a toothy edge. i was surprised at how easy the carving was. now i want to make a million  and try out some more details...

plus i have a whole bunch of white pumpkin stars in my fridge that i want to add to one of the designs. SO MUCH FUN!

dinosaur eggs

it seems i've caught the glitterbug...i'm hooked!

i have been sprinkling anything and everything in my path.

i wish the little glittersaurus fit inside...dang!

now i need to hunt down some more figurines and get MORE glitter.

i think their crafty kids line is so cute.

i want to make a bird banner inspired by one of these to go over my bed.

but i think they should be holding a word on the string.

egg crate crafts

i have been stockpiling egg cups for a few months.they take forever to paint!

 
each one needs 2 or 3 coats inside and out and then another coat of shiny.

but they feel like plastic when they're done. i love it:)

 
i think i have about 3 dozen to play around with.

up before the sun. as usual.

 

the early morning hours are my fave. i love getting a head start on the day.

plus i don't feel so guilty taking a nap in the afternoon when i'm up before 6 :)

i have a ton of stuff i want to get done today. i really should make a list.

first on the list is adding a couple new pieces to the shop.

 

more mushrooms and maybe a clutch or two:)

then i think i'll work on some new stuffed critter samples

and maybe try out some holiday crafts i've been dreaming about.
