i have big plans to redo the bedroom. i want gray walls with white furniture and linens with a custom upholstered headboard. maybe gentle spots of color in some silk throw pillows. i also want to tear up the old carpet and white wash the floors...add some crown molding and a new area rug.

it reminds me the sun shining through the bottom of a cloud on a silvery day.
...so peaceful...
i had them in my room when i was growing up and i miss them.
my boyfriend has vetoed the unmade bed, but likes the dresser print. i think it might work on it's own paired with a pretty mirror and some elegant lighting.
i also really like this one.
and you can see what my current bedroom looks like right below it.
i have enjoyed the soft color palette, but i feel the need to simplify.
although i am not looking forward to the:
primer and 2 coats of paint.
ripping up the carpet and painting a million more coats on the floor
a coat or 2 of white gloss on the bed and bedside tables after a good sanding
oh and some crown molding detail unless i decide to also paint the ceiling gray.
whew! i'm worn just thinking about it, but i hope to start soon.
have a great weekend.

Wow, it looks so peaceful and beautiful...I can imagine it would be quite the restful haven.
I think it's a splendid plan, just so long as you keep your pretty little things colorful! :-)

I vote for the one with the bed and the window. I actually had that same print for a long time. I loved it! No one could understand why I wanted a picture of an unmade bed but to me it looked so cozy.

Hi Lori,
I have that print of the messy bed with the window in my pale yellow and white bedroom. I love her photography ~ it is so refreshing to look at after working with so much colour, don't you agree?
Have fun with the redecorating. It'll be great.
Ciao,
Suzanne

The room pictured above is definitely a great source of inspiration. Once you have finished the room you will definitely have o post of pictures!

How did the improvements go? It seems like you did a lot of DIY to get your ideal room. The picture looks very cozy; it would be wonderful to see the morning light streaming in. That would indeed be heavenly! Hope you could post some before and after pics!
