heeeere's lucy!

isn't she a doll!? she is a gift for my friend up in oregon. i hope she LOVES it!

this portrait is sewn on my machine, but the no sew process is really easy if you follow the tutorial and video on martha's site.
i have had a few requests for custom portraits and i am sorry to say that my schedule is just too crazy right now, but i will try to post a few tips next week that might make it seem less daunting even for the craft-ily challenged. i also have some really creative portraits done by others to share. it's inspiring to see all the different details and fabric choices.
anyways, i'm just workin away over here. still juggling about 4 different projects. i'm really great at starting new projects, but not so great about finishing 'old' ones which is why i always seem to have a bunch going at once. it can be overwhelming, but i am hoping to get some crossed off my list before this weekend so i can start working on my shop update...it's looking pretty sad over there.
BTW i haven't forgotten about the gored trumpet skirt tutorial.
it's on my list...hopefully next week!

That is one of the cutest things I have ever seen! I love it. Please let us know if you ever decide to do custom orders in the future. Thanks.

I LOVE Lucy! So cute, beautiful colors. I'm way impressed with how you captured the shagginess :)

So cute! I am sure your friend will love it!
I definitely would love to see a tutorial to make one. I want to try making one of my dachshund but need a simple step by step guide. I am scared to start!!

What kind of sewing machine do you have that lets you sew the image onto fabric? I've never heard of that before! Your friend will love it.

That is so cute! Perhaps you could go into business making these for the "less crafty" people, like myself.. :o)
