well, i made it through yesterday even though i was battling a migraine. i managed to get most of the orders packed up and everything will be ready to ship out tomorrow.

today, there are piles to be tackled everywhere i turn. so i felt i  the need to take a little trip through the canyon this morning to TJ maxx (you know it's one of my faves!) to decompress a bit

anyways, i scored this darling (if i do say so myself!) pale pink babydoll dress on clearance...

i cinched it with an extra wide black leather belt (that i have NEVER even worn before) i think i bought it on a shopping spree before shooting the martha demo.

i can't believe i'm showing y'all my knobby knees and skinny little legs! i would never actually go out like this, but i think it makes a sweet photo.

it was fun to see myself on TV. it's the first time i've seen the segment (in it's entirety - on the big screen) it was completely surreal and so i took about a million photos of the screen...i know, i'm a nerd!

anyways, i've recieved a ton of beautiful emails since yesterday and i hope to get through them all by the end of the weekend...i have also had a lot of requests for custom pet portraits and i need to get a better grip on my schedule to see if i can swing it...shoot me an email in about a week or so if you're interested.

oh well, i think that's all i got. i will be adding more pretties as they happen.

i better get back to the sewing machine.

martha stewart live!

i woke up this morning to check my web stats and just by chance saw that my demo will be airing on martha stewart live today!

needless to say... i am freaking out trying to cram as many goodies into my pretty little shop as possible. if i could just find time to dash inside and make a cappucino. i think i might have to make the sacrafice!

well, i should get  back to my freak-out!

this little sleepy head is my first sample

i think she turned out pretty sweet. she took longer than i expected, but i'm gonna try to whip up a small batch today and see if they're do-able.

other than that i have been dreaming up some new ideas for my press kit. i realized that i should probably make a sample or two before submitting anything to a print house. i bought a bunch of colorful folders and some sheet protectors in the back to school section and i think i might be able to pull something together. i'll be sure to post my progress.

my mind has been swimming lately, like i said yesterday, and it's hard to pin down what i want to work on next...i haven't decided on anything yet...i figure it's best to just let the creative juices flow for awhile and see what happens!

well, back to the drawing board.

the owls have landed

well here are SOME of the fruits of my labor.

there are a few more stragglers that will find there way into my shop this week.

matilda and i watched movies almost all day yesterday topping it all off none other than "matilda". i must've watched this movie over a dozen times...it's great in the backround while i work and i love the chocolate cake scene.

anyways my imagination has been going berzerk lately and i have about a dozen new ideas i want to try. i cut a new plush sample last night i will try to share it with you later on this week...

a beautiful swarm

so my sweetheart is on a scuba diving trip this week in roatan while matilda and i hold down the fort. i plan to take full advantage of the couch and the big screen while i finish up my new batch of owls.

as you can see. i already have. i've been watching  a marathon of IFC and sundance channel movies all morning...it's actually making me a little crazy so i came out to the tiny house to check in with the rest of the world.

meanwhile matilda is inhaling as many laurel berries from around the yard as one naughty frenchie can possibly handle...in fact, i'm sure she's eating many many more than she can handle...i guess i'll find out later.yikes!

anyways, i have been hard at work on a really beautiful swarm of owls that i plan to post tomorrow in my shop.

right now i better go find the dog.
